Wrestling Inc reports that top Impact Wrestling superstar, and leader of the oVe brotherhood, Sami Callihan has signed a multi-year contract to remain with the company. Callihan made his debut in 2017 and had a tremendous 2018 resulting in being voted ‘Wrestler of the Year’ by the Impact fans (despite almost accidentally killing Eddie Edwards with a very real baseball shot to the eye). According to the article this is just the first of many signings Impact Wrestling is hoping to make this week, so keep an eye out on this very website for more possible announcements. And, just for giggles, let’s all rock the f*ck out to oVe’s banger of a theme song.
WWE.com reports that ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey will be defending the RAW Women’s Championship against Riott Squad leader Ruby Riott next weekend at Elimination Chamber. A riled up Rousey dispatched Riott’s two partners/friends, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, in short order last Monday on RAW but Riott managed to escape a similar fate…that is, until next Sunday. Rousey is currently slated to defend the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania against Royal Rumble winner Becky Lynch, but that’s currently up in the air storyline-wise due to Lynch’s ‘suspension’ that began on Monday.
Elimination Chamber takes place on February 17th live from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX and airing on the WWE Network.
